Having difficulty pairing Wink with an Apple iPhone?
The most important point is the newest Apple update now requires the Bluetooth to be "On" for each device AND the main Bluetooth is also "On".
To do this:
- First, open Apple Settings on your device (note this is not Kindara's settings but Apple's)
- Scroll down until you see Kindara
- Tap Kindara
- Tap Bluetooth toggle until it is green.
- Second, the main Bluetooth is "On" by opening the Apple Settings/Tap Bluetooth/Tap "On".
Now with WIFI and Bluetooth on and your Wink in hand:
- Open Kindara app
- Tap More
- Tap WInk
- Tap Set up Wink
- Follow the instructions on the screen
- Take a test temperature
- A notification should come up in Kindara stating a temperature has been received
- View either the Data page (pencil icon) or Chart page to see this temperature.
If Wink has any temperatures saved it will sync them by doing the steps above. Please note if you've reset the Wink by tapping the top of the head 7 times in a row than all temperatures will have been deleted. Since this is a feature to reset Wink to factory settings.
